The Journey Home

We left the Holding Facility at about 10:00. Before we even got out of the gates of the BLM facility our mustang tried to eat the camera we have in there with him!!! Our mustang spent most the time looking out the back door at everything. we stopped at a gas station a mile or two down the road, our friends from Corpus stopped there also. We went over to their trailer to see their mustangs. Claire named her mustang Dare to Dream, Taren named hers Embark on Adventure. Claire got a 2 year old Bay gelding with one sock (That horse is going to be a big guy!) and Taren got a 2 year old Sorrel gelding with a star, it's ID number was 6409 they where both Beautiful horses! After we left we had to stop at Tractor supply to get some alfalfa for our little guy. Once we crossed the border we hit some traffic, good thing about it was that our mustang got a little calmer and started to eat. The traffic didn't last too long so before long we where back on our way! We stopped at McDonald's to get some lunch, I saved my bag of apples for him but when I tried to give it to him he snorted and backed up. Guess he hasn't ever had a sliced Apple out of someone's hand before! :) we passed a few trailers coming from and going to the Holding Facility, everyone looked pretty excited! Around 2:30 we stopped at Texas Hill Country Furniture & Merchandise to get a lariat for our mustang. He is getting a lot calmer in the trailer, he is starting to eat and doesn't mind us being next to him anymore. After making a few more stops we were almost to my aunts house, where we would stay the night then get up and go home! For the whole ride I have been asking the same question, "What should we name him?" We all made a lot of suggestions but none seemed to fit him, I guess we will find out what it is before long. Still can't believe I'm not dreaming! After stopping at another tractor supply to get some shavings for him to sleep on we where only a few minutes away! When we got there it was already dark, he was soooo... Tired and really wanted to lay down. He was a little scared when we were putting the shavings in the trailer. After we ate breakfast In the morning we went out to check on him, and he started to let is pet him! Then we finally picked a name for him, "Discover Destiny" AKA Disco. It is a lot better to be able to call him something instead of just 6319 or something.
