The Arrival

About 7 hours after we left my aunts house, we finally got to the Surfin G Ranch! Our horses Texas, Lucky, Comanche, and Starbuck all came running after the trailer.  Then, my horse Texas and Disco whinnied to each other for a minute. Everyone was so excited to meet the new horse! Once we got the trailer backed up to his corral we tied the gate open then opened up the trailer so he could go in.  Well, that didn't go quite how we expected it to... Disco stood there eating alfalfa and didn't even look at the open gate. After a couple minutes he finally walked over to the edge and looked around, then took a step down, and out he went into his new home! We left the trailer tied to the gate for about a hour just to let him know that it's not bad. He really did not even think it was bad for a second! He got in and out of the trailer about 10 times! All of our other horses walked around the outside of the pen trying to figure out who it was and what he was doing there. They all seemed to say "Welcome To The Family Little Brother!". We walked around in the corral with him for awhile just for him to know that we are not going to hurt him, It didn't take him long to figure that out! After a minute he would eat out of our hands and be totally fine with us standing around him while he drank and ate. I Can't Wait To Get Started With Him In The Morning!
